The Chinese government announced on Thursday that firefighting attempts at the scene of Wednesday’s explosions in the port city of Tianjin have been suspended due to uncertainties regarding the nature and quantity of dangerous substances in the area.
17 people were killed in the explosions and over 400 others were wounded.
