French phone company Orange has paid Partner Communications Ltd. €15 million ($17 million US). This is the first part of a settlement between the formerly joined companies after Orange CEO Stephane Richard said that he does not want to work with Israel.

According to Partner CEO Isaac Benbenisti, "As part of our new framework agreement with Orange, we are currently conducting a market study regarding use of the orange brand. The study is aimed at assessing our position within the dynamics of the Israeli telecommunications services marketplace, while examining all of the company's options."
