Oded Ravivi, a lawyer and the head of the Efrat local council, has called the European Union (EU) an "exemplar of duplicity."
Ravivi pointed out that the EU funds illegal Palestinian building in Judea and Samaria, while at the same time criticizing any Jewish building in the region.
"The EU is an exemplar of duplicity in a guise of defending human rights,” he said. “On the one hand it condemns ‘illegal’ construction by Jews in Judea and Samaria and on the other hand it builds illegally for the Palestinians. Building not according to plans, without connecting [the buildings] to infrastructure, while creating [environmental] harm and violating planning and construction laws."
