Egyptian health authorities reported on Tuesday that at least 40 people died in the past few days due to extreme weather conditions in the country.
19 people died on Monday when temperatures climbed to nearly 40 degrees Celsius. 21 people died on Sunday.
Reports indicate that most of the casualties were elderly people.
