Authorities have announced that a joint operation between police and the General Security Service (GSS, also known as the Shabak or Shin Bet) led to the arrest of a Hamas fighter and tunnel digger.
The terrorist, 21-year-old A'adel Shehada Sha'er from Rafiah, was arrested in early July. Through his interrogation, security services uncovered a large amount of information about Hamas's actions in Rafiah. Sha'er also described Hamas's emergency actions and intentions to use the tunnels to attack Israel.
