Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has said that he cannot continue the peace process with the Kurds under the current circumstances. He urged the parliament to strip politicians of legal immunity if they are found to have ties with "terrorist groups."
A ceasefire between the two sides has broken down over recent days. Several days ago the Turkish air force bombed camps belonging to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). Today (Tuesday), Turkey has accused the PKK of sabotaging a natural gas pipeline.
