About an hour ago, former president, Moshe Katzav, started a 72-hour furlough from Ma'asiyahu Prison in Ramle. Katzav left with his wife, GIla, who was waiting for him at the prison's entrance. Although the former president is allowed many such furloughs, this will be the first time he will be celebrating Passover at his home.

Katzav was sentenced to seven years after being convicted on charges of rape, indecent assault by force, and sexual harassment.
