The 'Islamic State' (IS) terror organization announced today (Friday) that it had taken control of the main prison located in the Kurdish town of Kobane, which is located in northern Syria on the border with Turkey, reports Walla!, citing the Al Jazeera network.
Yesterday, the UK-based NGO, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is monitoring the IS, reported that the terror organization had taken control of at least one third of the city, despite the fierce ground fighting and the airstrikes by the US-led international coalition.
