Former officer of the Intelligence Unit 8200, BrigadierGeneral (Res.) Chanan Gefen, told ynet that the insubordination letter signed by 43 reservist soldiers in the unit proclaimed that they would refuse to take part in acts against Palestinian Arabs.
“The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) or CID (Criminal Investigation Division of the army) should be in charge of exacting justice against them… Whoever doesn’t want to, should not be in Unit 8200. Their letter crosses the line of the code of ethics and code of conduct of the unit,” Gefen said.
