Poet Tanya Hadar Klein passed away, Friday morning at the age of 67, following a serious illness. Her funeral is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem's Giv'at Shaul neighborhood.
Born in a displaced persons' camp in Germany after her parents survived the horrors of the Holocaust, Klein wrote three critically-acclaimed books of poetry and a fourth was due out next week to coincide with her birthday this week. Many of her poems were published in the periodical Mashiv Haruah, one example of her efforts to guide and assist young poets.
