Member of Knesset Moshe Feiglin (Likud-Beytenu) said he was proud to be the sole member of the government coalition to vote for the Jerusalem bill on Wednesday. He said that even though the bill had no chance of passing, he voted for it to prove a point. The bill called for at least 80 MKs to give prior approval to any negotiations that would result in relinquishing portions to Jerusalem to a foreign entity. MK Feiglin stated, "I did what was right, alone. Political wisdom is to know where the line ends." Feiglin added that political coalition considerations should not take precedence over negotiating portions of the capital city.
