U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Friday morning with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem. Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon will be in attendance as well.
Diplomatic sources in Jerusalem told Kol Yisrael radio on Friday morning that they do not expect a breakthrough in the peace talks with the Palestinian Authority and added that their assessment is that more than nine months will be needed to discuss all the issues in dispute. These sources added that Israel is still awaiting answers from the PA on three fundamental issues: recognition of Israel, a commitment to end the conflict and the issue of the right of return. Until Israel receives a response on these, said the officials, it will not discuss borders.
