History was made, Thursday, when the United Nations held its first discussion ever on the rights of Jewish refugees from Arab countries.

Speaking at the "Justice for Jewish Refugees from Arab Countries Conference" was Minister Silvan Shalom, who said, "We hear a lot about the suffering of Arab refugees, but do not hear a word about 900 thousand Jewish refugees from Arab countries." He added, "I was born in Tunis, and my maternal grandfather, a leader of the Jewish community of Gabès, left behind a lot of property: business, real estate holdings and schools."
