A five-meter/16-feet-high wall being erected along the Syrian border has passed recent testing against missiles, according to a Tuesday report on the Israel Defense Forces Website. The barrier is going up against the background of lawlessness on the Syrian side of the border as a result of that country's civil war.

The wall can not only withstand missiles, it can absorb and soften their impact on military personnel and vehicles in the area. Built along side will be barbed-wire fences and trenches as obstacles to would-be attackers.
