Chairman Avigdor Lieberman criticized the Yisrael Hayom daily, Monday, during an interview with Radio Yerushalayim about Moshe Leon's campaign for mayor of Jerusalem, which was monitored by the Ma'ariv daily. Lieberman was angered by a report that former mayor Uri Lupolianski intended to run for re-election, which he took as activity on behalf of incumbent Nir Barkat. Referring to Russian Communist-party paper, the native of the Soviet Union said, "What looks like spin, sounds like spin and smells like spin - is spin." He continued, "If you take into account that it was published in the newspaper Pravda, Yisrael Hayom, then it's clear that this is the spin of the Barkat staff."
