Greek Prime Minister: Israeli Resources can Help Europe

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras of Greece said, Thursday, that Israel has a role to play in supplying Europe with energy resources.

Addressing reporters at the White House, following a meeting with President Barack Obama of the United States, Samaras said, "We have found huge energy resources in a critical region. Cyprus, Israel and Greece can realign those resources in order to be able to satisfy the European demand, especially for natural gas." His comments came a few hours after the three countries signed an 800-million-Euro agreement to lay a cable connecting their power grids.
