The Nazis sought to break his body, Christians sought to convert him, and the Jordanians captured him. But Moshe Bachar did not break despite everything.
“Grandfather Survived the Holocaust”, a film of Bachar’s story and a testament to his life, was produced by filmmaker Gila Zeituni, who is also his granddaughter.
In the film, Bachar describes the last time he saw his father, who said to him, “Look, I feel I cannot go on. But I want to tell you, hold on at all costs, in order to tell the world.”
“So, I think maybe that’s one of the reasons I stayed. I need to tell. I will tell.”
