Shekel, Euro, Aussie Up; Yen Outpaces US Dollar, Pound

The shekel rose an average of .345 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.633, down .493 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro declined .188 percent to 4.7249 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.5394 shekels, down .496 percent while 100 Japanese yen fell .404 percent to NIS 3.6441. The Australian dollar advanced .217 percent to 3.3215 shekels, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at NIS 3.4515, down .295 percent. The South African rand lost .276 percent to .3617 shekels, and the Lebanese pound was set at NIS .024, down .826.
