Housing Minister Uri Ariel said, Tuesday morning, that Israeli construction beyond the 1949 cease-fire line in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria (Shomron) is frozen until further notice in order to avoid a diplomatic confrontation with the United States. Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Ariel confirmed what a senior political source recently told Arutz Sheva.
