Legal Forum Slams Terror Label for 'Price Tag'

The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel said, Sunday, that an anti-terror measure endorsed by the Ministerial Committee on Legislation is a draconian tool which - with no connection to the vital war on terror - could result in the disproportional violation of human rights and political judicial bullying. The measure defines "price tag" vandalism - ostensibly carried out against leftist and Arab targets in response to acts or threats against Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) - as terrorism.

The forum said the comparison between murderers and other activists with blood on their hands to those who spray graffiti is a cheapening of human life. A statement by the group read, "One cannot compare terror organizations and their agents to boys who spray graffiti on a house and one cannot use the same methods in both cases."
