Google Offers Gush Etzion Residents PA Citizenship

Gush Etzion residents were surprised recently to find that according to Google, they belong to Palestine, reports Israel today.

According to the report, the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel received complaints from the residents of Gush Etzion, who wanted to search Google's home page and were shocked by the google.ps search link offered to them instead of google.co.il. "It is unfortunate Google Inc., which is a business and not a political body, states that residents of Judea and Samaria belong to the Palestinian Authority. We ask you to delete the message," wrote Nachi Eyal, CEO of the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel, in a letter sent to Google.

Google spokesman Nathan Taylor made it clear that this is not Google-Israel's decision and said that "we are trying to create the best experience for all users."
