Negev Residents Concerned About Bedouin Land Grab

Omer Regional Council head Pini Badesh expressed concern over the recent relinquishing of territorial rights to Bedouin communities in the Negev. Badesh told Arutz Sheva news on Wednesday, "they learned the system. It was done secretly and silently, giving away thousands of acres. Slowly the Bedouins will learn the method, and in the end the state will give in to them."
Badesh said that many in the Bedouin community have squatted on land without legally purchasing it or going through any proper channels or zoning laws.
Supporters of the Bedouin community say that it is just to recognize the lands as being in Bedouin hands.
