Constituent Assembly Approves New Egyptian Constitution

Egypt's Constituent Assembly approved, Friday morning, a draft of a new constitution and is expected to present it to President Mohammed Morsi during the weekend.

Fifteen days after Morsi approves the document, it will be brought before the public in a referendum. Morsi says the expanded powers he granted himself, last week, will expire when the new constitution is approved.
