Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority (PA) is scheduled to meet with Saudi King Abdullah, Monday, and discuss, among other things, the PA's bid to establish a statehood status at the United Nations this month.

The Monitoring Committee of the Arab League is scheduled to meet, Tuesday in Cairo, at the foreign-minister level, to discuss the bid. Abu-Mazen will take part, as will Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Al-Araby.
