The IDF has prepared areas near the Syrian border for the absorption of Syrian refugees, Voice of Israel Radio (Kol Yisrael) reports. Preparations were made in coordination with the UN and in accordance with international standards.

The IDF’s primary aim regarding the Syrian conflict remains to prevent the conflict from reaching Israel.
