Israel plans to grant work permits to an additional 11,000 people living under the Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria, IDF Radio reports. The work permits will be for construction jobs.

19,000 PA Arabs currently work in construction in Israel.

Ministers hope the move will help both Israel and the PA. The PA faces chronic high unemployment, and Israel is suffering from a housing shortage.
