The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.3522, up .84 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .464 percent to 5.2171 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at 4.234 shekels, up 1.369 percent, while its Canadian counterpart rose 1.178 percent to NIS 4.0368. The South African rand soared 1.515 percent to NIS .4892.
