Report: Syria Removing Chemical Weapons from Storage

Syria has started to remove cyanide, mustard gas and sarin from its arsenals and the move is worrying the United States, according to a Friday report by the Wall Street Journal.

Opinions are split between the position that the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad intends to use the chemicals against opposition forces and the stance that the government is trying to keep the weapons from falling into the hands of the rebels. Former Member of Knesset and Mossad intelligence chief Danny Yatom told Britain's Sky News, Thursday, that Israel would take action to keep Syrian chemical weapons from ending up in terrorist hands.
