Interior Minister Eli Yishai has announced that he will propose a substitute for the Tal Law next week. The Tal law has been suspended by the High Court, who opposed an “unconstitutional” law that regulates IDF drafty deferral for Yeshiva students.

Yishai announced on his facebook page, “I will submit a Tal Law substitute for second and third readings before the end of the Knesset summer session. I will oppose any form of sanctions against Yeshiva students who refuse to be drafted.
