Minister Barak: Egypt Losing Control of Sinai

Defense Minister Barak commended the IDF for its quick response to Monday morning’s terrorist attack along the Egyptian border, fortuitously killing two terrorists. “I send my condolences to the Fashfasha family who lost their father.”

Barak added, “On Saturday, two rockets were fired into southern Israel from the Sinai. Egypt seems to be losing control there. We hope the next Egyptian president will control the Sinai as per the peace treaty with Israel.” Barak spoke at an Independence party meeting.
