Yoram Shoshtari from Moshav Haniel in the Sharon visited his grandfather's grave at the Mount of Olives cemetery last Thursday and was dismayed to discover piles of burned trash scattered between the graves.
“Every year we come to the grave of my grandfather, Aharon Shemesh,” Shoshtari told Arutz Sheva on Tuesday. “We had chills down our spine when we saw last week that local Arabs used the cemetery as a place in which to throw out trash and burn household waste.”
Shoshtari’s family cleaned the place, not before taking photos of the piles of garbage between the graves and sending them to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Ministry has promised the family it will take care of the matter.
