Rabbi Chaim Druckman Receives Israel Prize

Rabbi Chaim Druckman, head of the Or Etzion Yeshiva and the Bnei Akiva Yeshivas Center, was presented the Israel Prize for lifetime achievement, Thursday evening. He is considered one of the greatest educators of the religious Zionist stream.

The prize was given to the 80-year-old rabbi "for his many activities of great importance in the areas of religious-Zionist youth education in the state of Israel. Out of sensitivity to love for the people of Israel, he worked for rapprochement between the segments of the people, immigrant absorption and leadership of the special conversion court."
