Rabbi Chaim Druckman, head of the Or Etzion Yeshiva and the Bnei Akiva Yeshivas Center, was presented the Israel Prize for lifetime achievement, Thursday evening. He is considered one of the greatest educators of the religious Zionist stream.

The prize was given to the 80-year-old rabbi "for hismany activities of great importance in theareas ofreligious-Zionist youtheducation in the state of Israel. Out of sensitivityto lovefor the people ofIsrael, he workedfor rapprochement between thesegments of the people, immigrant absorptionand leadership of the special conversioncourt."
