Mk Whbee: Minorities Should Also Light Torches

MK Magali Whbee (Kadima) is outraged over the announcement of the Independence Day torch lighters, a list that does not include any representatives of minorities.

“When convenient, the government portrays minorities as partners in the State. Regrettably, at a ceremony that celebrates the founding of the State, which featured Druze, Bedouins and Circassians, these representatives are discriminated against. The torch lighting ceremony should not be dedicated to Jews alone. I hope the government will correct this soon.” Whbee announced he would personally request the PM include a minority torch lighting representative.
