Former residents of Gush Katif have called on the Prime Minister to restore their towns and former homes. “It is clear to everyone that leaving Gaza was an egregious mistake in terms of security,” they said.
The letter called on Netanyahu to rebuild Gaza’s Jewish communities “and to allow the IDF to resume control of important points, and bring security back to residents of Israel.”
The writers are currently living in temporary housing sites near Gaza. “This letter was sent after a Sabbath during which we found ourselves waking our young children over and over and running with them to the concrete pipes that are our defense from the Palestinian bombardments from Gaza,” they explained.
