Yosef Dayan of the Malchut Israel organization is seeking to revive a "Kingship of Israel." He spoke to Israel National Radio's Tamar Yonah about the group's concept for Israeli government. Dayan also states that those who can trace their lineage to King David can be eligible for Israeli kingship. According to the interview, the Dayan family of Aleppo, Syria and those related to the Vilna Gaon are such candidates,
