Coalition Chairman MK Ze'ev Elkin welcomed on Friday the appointment of Judge Asher Grunis to the Supreme Court.
"I'm glad the Knesset contributed to the implementation of justice and that a judge as excellent as Grunis was appointed and not blocked by unnecessary technicalities," said Elkin. "I hope that Grunis, together with judges appointed in recent years, can lead to a balanced Supreme Court which represents all groups in Israeli public life, will be open to serious debate on the reforms needed in Israeli law and will return the entire Israeli public's confidence in the Supreme Court."
