A poll indicated that 83% of those polled were against the Supreme Court's decision not to grant Palestinian Authority residents automatic citizenship if they marry Israeli citizens. Last week the Supreme Court upheld the law. The poll was conducted by the Mina Tzemach Institute for the Knesset Channel.
Member of Knesset Dr. Aryeh Eldad (National Union Party) said that such a law prevents Arab citizens from taking over Israel and questioned the veracity of the poll. "Always be suspicious that the question was not formulated in a clear manner," Dr. Eldad stated in response. The poll also indicated that 74% of those polled have trust in Arab Knesset members such as Haneen Zoubi, Ibrahim Sarsur and Ahmad Tibi.
