The Jerusalem Al-Aksa Mosque Imam called for the murder of US President Obama of on the day of the assassination of Bin Laden. The Israeli State Attorney’s Office has decided not to interrogate the Imam, stating there was no way for anyone to act violently on his incitement.

The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel demanded the Attorney General take action against the incitement, ”Despite the importance of freedom of speech, Israel cannot ignore such a call for violence against the President of the US.”

The response was “Imams were interrogated in extreme cases where they incited against figures in Israel, but under the circumstances the freedom of speech will prevail.”
