Jewish Music Leader Adrianne Cooper Passes Away

Adrianne Cooper, a leader in Jewish music has pased away at the age of 65 of cancer. She was a world class violinist and vocalist who helped initiate a revival of klezmer music. Cooper helped found KlezKamp, a workshop for klezmer and other Yiddish and ethnic Jewish music for both budding musicians and experts. She also traveled annually to Russia and Ukraine to train young Jewish musicians.
