The ‘Etnachta’ (Rest Period, ed.) clubhouse was inaugurated in Be’er Sheva. The clubhouse is designated for Bnei Akiva youth and will bear the names of Lieutenant Uriel Peretz who fell in a clash with terrorists in Lebanon in November 1998, and his brother Major Eliraz Peretz who fell in a firefight on the Gaza border in March 2010. Their story, and the exemplary personality of their mother Miriam moved the nation.
Mayor Ruvik Danilovich said the boys were “our children and heroes”, and that Miriam was a “Woman of Valor”.
At the end of the ceremony Miriam Peretz gave the assembled youth copies of the Semadar Shir book “The Song of Miriam”, that tells the story of her great family.
