MK Otniel Schneller (Kadima) castigates the MK Shelly Yacimovich law proposal that aims to shorten the cooling-off period for IDF retirees required by law before they enter Israeli politics. “The responsibility resting on the shoulders of IDF officers between war against our enemies and their sensitive service in Judea and Samaria requires them to be completely isolated from any political affinity.

“Shortening the cooling-off period will only contribute to the lack of faith in the objectivity of IDF officers prior to their retirement,” said Schneller.
