Knesset Speaker MK Reuven Rivlin said on Thursday that he will not be supporting an initiative by MK Nissim Ze’ev regarding former President Moshe Katzav.
MK Ze’ev had suggested that the Minister of Interior issue regulations which stipulate that Katzav's house is a prison in order to prevent a situation in which a former president is imprisoned.
While he does not support the initiative, Rivlin said that if a formal request is submitted to discuss the issue in the Knesset’s Interior Committee, the issue will be discussed on Monday.
