Honenu: Girls Arrested on Light Rail to Still Jailed

Attorneys for the Honenu legal assistance organization said that a Jerusalem court on Monday afternoon had planned to release two girls who had been arrested Sunday after an alleged scuffle with Arabs on the Jerusalem light rail. The girls were released from jail and will instead remain under house arrest for two days.

Despite the court decision, the girls will remain in jail for at least one more night, as police filed a petition and convinced the judge to keep them imprisoned. The court will discuss the case again Tuesday.
