Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, is the leading candidate in the race for the Republican nomination for president in the coming 2012 elections, according to a new poll.
According to the poll, Gingrich would get 23% of Republican party primary votes, which would put him neck and neck with Mitt Romney, who would get 22%.
