Opposition leader Tzipi Livni said on Tuesday night, “I respect the government’s decision to release Gilad Shalit. I congratulate the Shalit family on this day, and with them all the people of Israel who sees Gilad as a member of their family.”
Livni added that just as the Shalit family is embraced, “we must also embrace the families of terror victims who are undergoing difficult moments.”
