Member of Knesset Ayoub Kara (Likud) said, Sunday, that he would meet immediately with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and demand that he order the cancellation of orders to demolish the Binyamin-region community of Givat Assaf and the Ulpana neighborhood of nearby Beit-El.
Kara was the latest guest of National Union chairman Ya'akov Katz to visit the threatened communities. He was amazed to see that one of the buildings slated for destruction was named after military dead from the Second Lebanon War in 2006, including his brother. The deputy minister for development of the Negev and the Galilee said, "I will guide Netanyahu as the prophet Jethro guided Moses our teacher. I will not lend a hand or be part of any destruction."
