Opposition Head Tzipi Livni met with the British FM William Haig Thursday morning in London. Livni said that Britain did what was just and moral in changing the law enabling arrest warrants against Israeli officials.
“This isn’t a personal matter, rather an issue that has clouded relations between Israel and Britain for years, and it’s good that the situation has changed. Both Israel and Britain fight terror, and must distinguish between soldiers protecting themselves and their countries, and war criminals like terrorists, who target the innocent. I hope your hospitality for me today will herald the arrival of IDF officials in the kingdom to strengthen the bond between our countries,” said Livni.
