Palestinian Authority (PA) Arabs protested Tuesday against US diplomats visiting Ramallah, throwing shoes and shouting slogans outside a restaurant. They were angry at congressional plans to cut aid to the PA.
Inside the restaurant, the diplomats were holding an event for graduates and beneficiaries of US programs.
About 20 activists chanted slogans in English, shouting "No to American funding," "Yes we can -- boycott America," "USAID go home," and "Shame on you." PA police denied that shoes were thrown.
