Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan attacked the policy of Israel's leadership, Thursday, during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly. He asked, "The ease with which Israel obtained an atom bomb, is it justified in your eyes?" He said that instead of working for peace, Israel was building walls.
Erdogan accused Israel of not upholding 89 binding UN resolutions and accused the modern Jewish state of ignoring hundreds of General Assembly decisions, adding that he was worried that the UN had not taken sanctions against Israel, saying it was more worrisome that the UN had not taken action to stop the suffering of the Palestinian people. He said Israel could not continue on its path, given recent regional developments, telling Israel's supporters that real security is through peace.
