Saudi Arabia has announced it will pay $200 million to the Palestinian Authority in order to ease the financial crisis faced by the PA as it prepares to apply for full UN membership.
According to a report in the PA-based WAFA news agency, Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim Alassaf called the PA’s Prime Minister Salam Fayyad to tell him his government would transfer the funds.
